On Tuesday, July 7 at 12:12 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched the Transporter-17 mission to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
Webcast note
This was the 11th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Sentinel-6B, Twilight, NROL-172, and seven Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which was stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
Mission note 2
Transporter-17 was a dedicated smallsat rideshare mission . There were 81 payloads on this flight, including cubesats, microsats, hosted payloads, and orbital transfer vehicles carrying eight of those payloads to be deployed at a later time. To date, SpaceX has launched more than 1,800 payloads to orbit across our entire Rideshare program.
Mission note 3
There was a possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties heard one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experienced depended on weather and other conditions.
